Bitten
And
Quieted by
A fang
That sank
Like a ship
Rocked
By the sea
Poesy and
Alyssum
Grow by night
From palms
And feet
That greet
The dark
The symbols
The swallowtails and wrens
And then
The Eye of the Sahara
Comes in a dream
And seems
Like your eye
Crackling
Unblinking
Under beams
The nigh
That becomes
The yore
Curves
To be the umbra
Of mind
To break
And make
A hole
To come
To move
And engulf you
To me
Open now
And enter here
Call
Cry
And
Crow
And know
All here
Was meant
To be.
