Leaving

Cool
Welcoming
Is the dusk

Haven
To the shadows
Of us

Rolling
Backward
Into dark

Deeply
Heaving
Is the last light

Just hungers
Are holding
Things apart

Wanting
Things
That can not be

We should not ask
We ask
And regret

Knowing
Secrets
Replaces this

And with a kiss
So all
Departs

Leaving
I look back
But you do not

It is lonely
As lonely
Can be.
